Epiphany at Trinity Downtown, 2017
Houston Bronze performed as a part of the Epiphany Services at Trinity Lutheran Downtown. This is the church that so generously allows us to rehearse, conduct workshops, and store all of our equipment.

Christmas 2016
The Houston Bronze Ensemble presented for our December 2016 holiday concert, “It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year”. We hope the music took out listeners on a holiday journey that brought visions of mistletoe, hot chocolate, family gatherings, holiday parties, sparkling lights, and the birth of a baby causing them to experience a variety of emotions from light-hearted fun to contemplation and to excitement.
Houston Bronze will join Bayou City Women's Chorus, Gay Men's Chorus of Houston and Houston Heights Orchestra for a joint concert.
We will be adding our sparkle to selections they will perform and will be performing one selection of our own. We are excited to join them.

A classic is an outstanding example of a particular style or something that is of lasting worth or timeless quality. It may denote a particular quality in art, architecture, literature, music, etc. Something that is classic serves as the model or standard for others to follow.
Our spring concert for 2016 presented several different genres of classics played on handbells. They each set a standard and exhibit a quality for others to follow. We also performed classic hymns selections, classic rock, classic jazz, and classic movie and television tunes.

Houston Bronze Ensemble Presents "Christmas Dreams"
Visions of sugarplums, snow gently falling, lights dancing, the aromas of the season, a visit from Santa, families gathering, memories of Christmas’s past, giving to others, the birth of a child—whatever your Christmas dreams are, the Houston Bronze Handbell Ensemble will surely set those dreams in motion with their holiday program entitled “Christmas Dreams”. The music to be performed on handbells will evoke the quiet, the happy, and the exciting emotions which the Christmas season brings.

Houston Bronze to Perform at Pinnacle

Houston Bronze is excited to announce that the ensemble has been chosen to perform at Pinnacle, 2015. We sent in an audition tape last fall and are so excited to finally share this information. Houston Bronze was selected to present a showcase concert on Saturday night, July 18, at 6:00 pm. The concert will be held at the Hyatt Regency DFW Hotel located on the grounds of the DFW Airport. Pinnacle is an event for performers and challenges all handbell musicians to strive for their personal performance pinnacle. Bill Nave, the director of Houston Bronze, has selected a repertoire list that will certainly do that. The ensemble will be working hard to raise our level of playing as we journey to Dallas in July 2015. We are looking forward to playing for our handbell friends from all over the USA and the world! Go Bronze!!!!

Other than traveling from a physical place to another physical place, a journey might also be a spiritual one or simply our journey through our experiences of life. Join us this spring as The Houston Bronze Ensemble, Houston’s premier handbell ensemble, plays music that may bring visions of a specific place, a spiritual happening or perhaps a feeling experienced as we journey on this road called life.

On December 16th, The Houston Bronze Ensemble participated in a ceremony presented by Helping a Hero. The goal of this organization is to provide wounded soldiers with a home fully adapted to their special needs. What an honor it was to be a part of this event.
